To Beats or not to Beats

Since the introduction of Beats in 2008, headphones have now become more of a fashion statement than ever before.

The popularity of high end headphones has fueled industry growth to $11 billion annually, with sales projected to rise to $18 billion by 2020. Last year manufacturers shipped 336 million headphone units to sales outlets, with prices ranging anywhere from $15 to $4,000.

If you’re in the market for a new pair of headphones, the NY Times offered a great guide in their Sunday Styles section, but remember that cost is not necessarily indicative of quality.
